A candlestick chart is a style of financial chart used to illustrate the price movements of an asset.
A candlestick pack a lot of information about the price movement for a certain interval of time. One candlestick shows opening, highest, lowest and the closing price for the minute, hour or day depending on what we've selected in your chart.
The candlestick has a filled wide segment, which is called the "body." The body represents the price range between the open and close of that day's trading.
Typically, when the body is colored red (bearish), it means that the candle closed lower than the opening price. If the body is green (bullish), it means the close was higher than the opening price.
In succession, candlesticks will draw a detailed story of the price history for a certain asset.
